Government of India, Ministry Of Railways – Railway Recruitment Board RRB CWE Common Written Exam (Preliminary) Railway Recruitment Board RRB conducted a Common Written Exam (Preliminary – 1st Stage) Non – Technical on 2nd December 2012 for the recruitment of all NTPC (Graduate) categories i.e. Commercial Apprentice, ECRC, Goods Guard, Jr. Accounts Assistant cum Typist, Assistant Station Master, GDCE of Goods Guard & LDCE of Sr. Clerk posts in RRB.

RRB Recruitment – NTPC Categories (nontechnical)

1. Commercial Apprentice – 317 Posts
2. Traffic Apprentice – 740 Posts
3. ECRC – 114 Posts
4. Goods Guard – 1768 Posts
5. Jr. Accounts Assistant cum Typist – 791 Posts
6. Sr. Clerk cum Typist – 441 Posts
7. Assistant Station Master (ASM) – 2646 Posts
8. Traffic Assistant – 12 Posts

Total – 6829 Posts

RRB Selection Process (NTPC Categories – Non Technical):

a) Common Preliminary Examination (i.e. stage I) for all the notified categories.

Based on the performance of candidates in the Preliminary Exam, the candidates equal to 15 times of the number of vacancies (ie 1:15 ratio) will be shortlisted for second stage written examinations subject to obtaining the prescribed minimum qualifying marks in their respective community.  Candidates who qualify in the Preliminary (stage I) Exam will again have to apply separately for Main (second stage) Examinations for notified categories.


b) Main (Second stage) Exam for CA/TA – followed by Verification of documents.


c) Main (Second stage) Exam for ECRC/Goods Guard – followed by verification of  documents.


d) Main (Second stage) Exam for JAA/Sr. Clerk, qualifying typing test – followed by Verification of documents.


e) Main (Second stage) Exam for ASM/Traffic Assistant, aptitude test – followed by Verification of documents.



RRB NTPPC (Graduate) Categories Exam held on 02.12.2012 – Discussion & Review of CWE Question Paper


Approximately 1.39 lakh candidates applied for RRB CWE Preliminary Exam and 70% candidates attended for the exam in RRB Secunderabad Zone.
According to the sources (TV9 Telugu) there are so many mistakes involved in issuing RRB Hall Tickets. In RRB Secunderabad Zone, three candidates got the Hall Tickets with Same Roll Number in Naveena College Exam Centre – AP. RRB CWE 2012 applicants strike halts the Preliminary exam at Naveena College Exam centre in Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh). RRB CWE 2012 exam cancelled & Rescheduled to January 2013 only for this centre.

UPSC Civil Service Examination 2013

UPSC Civil Service Exam 2013 notification issued for filling up to 1000 vacancies (approximately)? 




Dear Aspirants; 

Union Public Service Commission has issued an notification vide “EXAMINATION NOTICE NO. 04/2013-CSP DATED 5.03.2013” for filling up of 1000 vacancies approximately (No. of vacancies may change subsequently) of Civil Service posts in UPSC. 

Important dates to be remembered for applying to the UPSC Civil Service Examination 2013 is as follows :- 

Start Date of online applications : 05/03/2013 

Closing Date of online applications : 04/04/2013 

Preliminary Exam date : 26/05/2013 

Main Exam date : May be in the Month of August / September 


The minimum eligibility criteria requires for applying to the Civil service Exam 2013 is as follows :- 


a) Must be a Citizen of India 

b) Age limit should be 21 to 30 years for General Category Candidates. 


Relaxation in terms of age is provided by the UPSC to the Backward category candidates for applying to the the Civil Service Exams is as follows :- 

Relaxation of Five years is applicable to SC / ST / Ex-service men / Domicle of Jammu and Kashmir Candidates. 

Relaxation of Three years is applicable to OBC Category candidates. 

Relaxation of Ten years is applicable for Handicapped candidates.

c) Educational qualification :- 

For applying to the Civil Service 2013 Exam a candidate must be a holder of Degree which is recognized by the university which comes under UGC. 

For those who have appeared for the Exam or they are in the Final Year / Final Semester may also eligible for applying to the Civil Service Preliminary exam 2013. But, if a candidate has qualified for the Mains Exam then he has to provide the passing proof with his Main exam application else he will not be able to apply for the Civil Service Mains Exam. For your information Mains exam will held mostly in the month of August / September 2013. 

How to apply for the UPSC Civil Service Exam 2013 ? 


Candidates who possess the above said eligibility criteria can apply for the UPSC Civil Service Exam 2013 via online mode by visiting the UPSC official web page i.e. http:// www.upsconline.nic.in.


Fees Structure followed by the UPSC for the UPSC Preliminary Exam 2013 is Rs 100/- (Except Female / SC / ST / PH). However Females / SC / ST / PH Candidates are exempted from payment of fees. 

Candidates who have be declared qualified for the Mains exam has required to pay Rs. 200/- additional for writing Mains Examination. 


Short information on Civil Service Exam 2013 :- 

1. UPSC Civil Service Exam contains three stages i.e Prelims, Mains and Interview. 

2. There will be a negative marking applicable for the UPSC Civil Service Exams. 

3. For writing and Marking answers a candidate has to black ball pen only.
